Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival & Gangtok Exploration
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport or NJP station and drive to Gangtok (4-5 hours). After settling into your hotel, spend the evening strolling along MG Road, a lively street full of shops, cafes, and local culture.
Day 2 – Gangtok Sightseeing
Visit key attractions such as Rumtek Monastery, one of the most important Buddhist monasteries in Sikkim, and Enchey Monastery. Enjoy panoramic views at Tashi Viewpoint and Hanuman Tok. You can also take a short nature walk or visit local markets.
Day 3 – Transfer to Darjeeling
Drive from Gangtok to Darjeeling (3-4 hours). En route, you may stop at tea gardens or the scenic Peace Pagoda. Once in Darjeeling, explore Mall Road and Chowrasta, the town’s bustling social hub.
Day 4 – Darjeeling Sightseeing & Tiger Hill Sunrise
Wake up early to catch the breathtaking sunrise at Tiger Hill, where you can see Kanchenjunga and sometimes Mount Everest. Later, visit the Batasia Loop (famous railway spiral), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, and the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoo. Enjoy a ride on the iconic Darjeeling Toy Train.
Day 5 – More Darjeeling Attractions & Departure
Explore the Japanese Peace Pagoda, the beautiful Rock Garden, and the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre, which showcases Tibetan culture and crafts. Spend any remaining time shopping or relaxing before heading back to the airport or railway station.
